Last Sunday
This last weekend was quite eventful!
It wasn’t just Sunday, although that was one of the great parts.

Friday afternoon, I returned from a few days down south. My tour guide, friend, and benefactor, Rob, had taken me on a marvelous trip to historic and very sunny, Liverpool.

Saturday morning around 10:30am, we dressed in our best and headed for the town of Elie, where Kenco and Lindsey were getting married later that day. It was a beautiful drive and an amazing wedding…..Scotland is truly amazing! We spent the day in the town and a bit into the night, leaving around 10:15pm in order to get home by about twelve.

All went well until about 20 minutes outside Glasgow on the M8, and everything came to a standstill. I shut the engine off after about 5 minutes. 9 some police cars, two fire trucks, three to four ambulances later…and oh, an hour and a half, and the police came back to turn us all around and send us back the way we came!

Whew! At 1:30am I finally got home.
Sunday morning came soon, and off to the airport to get Rob home to the US. Then off to the QM to drop off some sound equip. for Re:Hope. And then…home to get the family and off to Renfrew Baptist for service. I was sooooo tired…until, that is, I stepped out of the car at Renfrew. God graciously gave me strength and energy that was much needed.

I felt that the service went good, Shauna thought that it was one of my better sermons. What I know for sure is that I really enjoy the folks out at Renfrew, they are compassionate lovers of Jesus Christ who are always ready with a smile!

I came home, got in a good nap, and went back for the second service at 6:30p. It went smooth and was very enjoyable!
On Wednesday of this week, the church will gather to discuss the possibility of extending an invitation to me to become their minister. This is what I know for sure: I have thoroughly enjoyed my time out at Renfrew, as have my children and wife. I would be honored and extremely excited to be their minister! And….I know that whatever God wills, will occur. Renfrew Baptist are a praying people, as are we Luses, and I have complete confidence that both parties are seeking His mind.

I promise to keep you informed as soon as I hear, either way!
Thank you for your prayers and emails, you are greatly loved by our family!

Thanks JoJO! How’s life with that Hubby of yours in that Bangladesh place?
Brian, thanks for the update. I will continue to pray for the process at Renfrow.
grace and peace
